The Posse Career Program plays an integral role in the professional development of Posse scholars. As the United States becomes an increasingly multicultural society, the individuals sitting at the bargaining tables of the next century must be representative of this rich demographic mix. The Nation's future will be heavily influenced by the ability of strong leaders from diverse backgrounds to develop consensus solutions to complex social problems. One of the primary goals of the Posse Foundation is to train these leaders of tomorrow.

The Posse Career Program provides Posse Scholars with both the tools and opportunities needed to secure the most competitive and career enhancing jobs and internships. At the core of the Career Program are three major components: the Internship Program, the Alumni Career Network and Career Counseling Services.

The Internship Program - facilitates international and domestic internships in a variety of fields for Posse Scholars. These internships are cultivated through Posse corporate and foundation relationships. Competitive stipends are offered to students who wish to pursue unpaid internships. Supervision and support are offered to Scholars throughout the internship experience.
The Alumni Career Network - allows graduates to remain active in Posse by giving them the opportunity to support one another's career development through mentoring, shadowing and referral services. An active database of all Posse alumni and their professional activities is maintained. The Career Program also sponsors bi-annual alumni events.
Career Counseling Services - offers career planning guidance, resume development, mock interviews, and assistance with networking and job search activities to individuals, and to groups in the form of workshops. These services are available to current students as well as alumni. All of this is housed in the Career Resource Center and is aided by the career portion of the Posse Website. Both offer resources such as job and internship postings, information about companies with which Posse has relationships, resume building tools and a variety of information on career development and exploration.
