898 Students Win Over $200 Million in Posse Scholarships From Partner Colleges

Winter 2025 | National

The Posse Foundation’s partner colleges and universities have selected 898 Scholars for the Class of 2029, awarding them $206 million in full-tuition leadership scholarships.

The newest class includes the inaugural Posses for Oberlin College (Posse Houston), Dickinson College (Posse Chicago), University of Pittsburgh (Posse Virtual Program), and Providence College (Posse New Orleans).

Awards Ceremonies were held across the country in January. In front of family, friends, college administrators, and other esteemed guests, the Class of 2029 was welcomed into the Posse community.

New Scholars will matriculate on campus in the fall after completing Posse’s eight-month Pre-Collegiate Training Program.

Since opening its doors in 1989, Posse has identified, recruited, and trained more than 14,000 Posse Scholars from cities across the country. Selected for their extraordinary leadership and academic potential, these students have won a total of $2.45 billion in college scholarships from Posse partner schools. Today 8,670 Posse graduates are climbing the ranks in a wide range of fields. They represent a dynamic, growing leadership network—one that reflects the rich diversity of the country at large.
