Alum Host Deloitte Impact Day, Give Back
Posse alumni and Deloitte employees Adriana Castillo and Danielle Udoh shared their experience and professional expertise with current Houston Scholars as facilitators of Impact Day, Deloitte’s annual day of service. As a national partner, Deloitte encourages its employees to volunteer at each of Posse’s 10 brick-and-mortar sites across the country.
Adriana, a Carleton alum and former PNACC representative, planned and hosted the event for Posse Houston. She led a professional development workshop for Scholars, facilitated a panel discussion that answered students’ questions, and encouraged networking with Deloitte staff.
“I give back to Posse not only because of how it helped transform me personally, but also because I believe diverse perspectives deserve a seat at the table.”

“As one of the first alum from Posse’s Houston site, I hope to be a role model for current Scholars,” says Adrianna. “I give back to Posse not only because of how it helped transform me personally, but also because I believe diverse perspectives deserve a seat at the table.”
Danielle Udoh, an alum of Texas A&M University, attended Deloitte Impact Day last year as a Scholar. This year, she experienced the event as a Deloitte employee.
“It is important that our alum connect with Scholars and share their experience transitioning from a recent Posse graduate to a new hire,” says Posse Houston Director Zakiya Thomas. “The power of the Posse network becomes clear when Posse alum support and advocate for our Scholars and recent grads.”
The event brought together Posse pre-collegiate and on-campus Scholars from various universities, engaging them in conversations with accomplished professionals that covered a wide range of topics, including career exploration, skill-building, and navigating the professional landscape.
