Babson Alum Joins Laird Norton Wetherby

This fall, Babson College alum Tiambie Kone joined Laird Norton Wetherby (LNW), a leading wealth management firm, as a client associate. After interning at the dedicated Posse Career Program partner in the summer of his junior year, Tiambie was invited back to LNW to work full time upon graduation.

Posse Bay Area board member Laura Pantaleo, a wealth manager and employee owner at LNW, supervised Tiambie’s internship.

“He approached his internship with curiosity, kindness, and a strong work ethic. We are absolutely thrilled to have him join the LNW team.”

Taimbe credits his experience at Babson with preparing him to make the most of his internship at LNW.

“When I first got to Babson, I was intimidated by all the freshman who had started businesses or were already trading stocks,” says Tiambie. “My Posse shared this experience with me, so we were able to acclimate together. I was able to travel abroad and build a network of people all over the country. It’s thanks to Posse and Babson that I ended up at LNW.”

Tiambie says the Posse internship portal was a “lifeline” for him, connecting him to career coaches and to the undergraduate LNW internship opportunity. He describes his position at LNW as bringing together his two passions: working with numbers and working with people.

“When I first got to LNW, I loved the atmosphere. Everybody made me feel welcome.” he says. “I was excited to find that people were passionate and cared about their work and clients. That’s what I was looking for.”

Tiambe is grateful for the chance to expand his skillset at LNW and looks forward to making a difference for his clients.

“I could not have hoped for a better job right out of a college,” he says. “Thanks to the folks at Posse and Babson and LNW, I’m right where I want to be.”
