Barclays Awards Posse More Than $1 Million
Barclays, the British multinational banking and financial services company, has awarded The Posse Foundation more than $1 million in grants to date. A partnership that began with a $25,000 grant to Posse Boston in 2010, has grown to include financial support for the Foundation nationally and additional local funding for Posse’s chapters in Boston, Chicago, Miami and New York.
In addition, Barclays employees have volunteered at Posse events and served on leadership councils. Barclays Managing Director in Equities T. Michael Brock is a member of the Posse Boston Advisory Board.
“The Posse Foundation’s mission to develop and advance strong future leaders aligns with our own goal of helping the next generation achieve their ambitions through our 5 Million Young Futures commitment,\" says Michael. “We are proud to partner with Posse, both financially and with the support of our colleagues and expertise.”
“We are very excited to have this partnership with Barclays," says Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial. "Their belief in and support of Posse Scholars and alumni illustrates their commitment to the cultivation of these young leaders—leaders who can bring greater diversity to the corporate workforce.”
Posse looks forward to continuing to grow its relationship with Barclays and explore new avenues of partnership in the coming years.
