Career Program Partner and Awards Ceremony Sponsor Putnam Investments Committed to Scholars' Success
Putnam Investments has continually demonstrated a strong and generous commitment to developing young leaders in the Boston area. At the 2013 Awards Ceremony, Putnam Investments returned—for the sixth year in a row—as the event’s lead sponsor.
Karen Walsh, the director of Mutual Fund Shareholder Services at Putnam, congratulated the newest class of Scholars and spoke about the commitment these young people have made to their academics and to the wider campus community.
“Opportunity for you is two-fold,” said Karen. “You are being given the invaluable opportunity to continue your education and the opportunity that you will continue to create for yourselves, which knows no boundary.”
Putnam Investments plays a critical and multifaceted role at Posse. As a Career Program partner, Putnam provides professional development, mentorship and internship opportunities. They have also hosted a number of Posse Boston events, including the annual Internship Celebration and Posse’s unique student evaluation interviews, the Dynamic Assessment Process.
There have been many Posse champions at Putnam who have made this such a successful and longstanding partnership, including Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion Stephen Denny and Managing Director Catherine A. Saunders, who also sits on the Posse Boston Advisory Board.
“We could not be more thrilled with our partnership with Putnam Investments,” says Posse Boston Director Lamont Gordon. “Both Putnam and Posse share a commitment to leadership and diversity, and Putnam has been steadfast and generous in its support of our Scholars.”
