Case Western, Cornell College, Lewis & Clark Expand Posse Partnerships
Next fall, Posse will recruit at least 880 new Scholars—the largest class in its 33-year history. Contributing to this milestone are expanded partnerships with Case Western Reserve University, Cornell College and Lewis & Clark College.
Cornell College and Lewis & Clark College have each expanded to become dual-program partners. Together with Bard College, the two institutions will recruit Scholars from Posse’s newest site, Puerto Rico. In 2020, Cornell recruited its first cohort of Posse Scholars from cities across the country through the Virtual Program and welcomed them to campus last fall. The inaugural class of Lewis & Clark Posse Scholars—recruited from public high schools in D.C.—also matriculated on campus last year. Both colleges will welcome their first cohorts from Puerto Rico in fall 2023.
Next fall, Posse will recruit the largest class in its 33-year history.
Case Western Reserve University, which recruits Posse students from New Orleans and through the Virtual Program, will now also recruit post-9/11 U.S. veterans through the Posse Veterans Program. With this latest expansion, Case Western joins Bucknell University, Middlebury College and the University of Virginia as a tri-program Posse partner.
“We are grateful to all of our partner institutions for their investments in Posse Scholars’ success over the years,” says Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial. “Today, almost a third of our partners recruit multiple cohorts each year. These newest expansions are a testament to our partners’ commitment to diversity and to the immense value that Posse Scholars bring to their campus communities.”
