Centre Alum Joins Bay Area Board, Heads Internship Program at Leading Investment Firm
Earlier this year, Centre College Posse alum Adonis Logan was chosen as a new Posse National Alumni Advisory Council (PNAAC) representative for the Bay Area. Adonis is an analyst at Inclusive Capital Partners, an opportunity he secured through the Posse internship board which provides exclusive career development opportunities from Posse career partners to our Scholars and alumni. After his summer internship experience at Inclusive Capital, he was “determined to come back.”
“Posse enabled me to believe in myself, as much as they believed in me."
Inclusive Capital was founded in 2020 by Jeff Ubben, an innovator in the investment space and a previous chair of the Posse National Board. According to its website, the investment management firm works with companies that “offer compelling value propositions and generate measurable positive impact on the environment and society.”
“As an environmental studies major with a concentration in economics, I was excited to be a part of Inclusive Capital’s inaugural Hyperion Fellowship class, which is an eight-week, paid investment analyst internship comprised of ten leading investment management firms,” says Adonis. “My internship showed me that finance and environmental impact could work together, when they normally work against one another.”
Adonis returned to Inclusive Capital in 2022 as an analyst on the operations team and the director of the Hyperion Fellowship, taking the helm of the internship program that originally brought him to Inclusive Capital.
“The Posse mission aligns with my personal values: to get leaders into rooms they haven’t been in before."
Adonis credits The Posse Foundation for all the opportunities he has been afforded since attending Centre College.
“Posse enabled me to believe in myself, as much as they believed in me. Entering Pre-Collegiate Training gave me the confidence and the validation that I needed to put myself out there for clubs, internships, and jobs,” says Adonis. “My involvement with Posse went from 120% to nearly zero, when I graduated, which prompted me to immediately get involved with the Bay Area site.”
Through the alumni advisory position, Adonis hopes to increase alumni engagement in the Bay Area by planning more events and opportunities to get involved with the community. He’s looking forward to maintaining his intimate relationship with Posse and sharpening his fundraising skills in the hopes of joining the Posse National Board one day.
Reflecting on how Posse’s value helped him develop his own, he says, “The Posse mission aligns with my personal values: to get leaders into rooms they haven’t been before, helping diverse voices get a seat at the table. That is literally what I am doing at InCap and what I intend to do throughout my career.”
