Fidelity Partnership Grows at Posse Boston

Fall 2018 | Boston

As a longtime supporter of Posse Boston, Fidelity Investments is committed to helping Posse fulfill its mission to prepare the next generations of leaders. Fidelity’s support over many years has included sponsorships of annual Award Ceremonies and Power of 10 events, hosting DAP interviews and providing professional development opportunities.

Fidelity became a Career Program partner in 2009. The relationship has since flourished, providing Posse Scholars and alumni with meaningful employment opportunities.

“We were thrilled to host the recent Posse National Board meeting, which brought together approximately 100 Posse board members and supporters for an engaging full-day discussion," says Fidelity Equity CIO and Posse Boston Advisory Board member Melissa Reilly. "In addition, we are always excited to host and staff the first round of the Dynamic Assessment Process, where our employees get a first-hand view of and involvement with Posse Boston staff and future scholars.”

The internship program challenged me to learn in a space that fosters growth and mentorship.

Hamilton College alumnus Loubens Theork recently completed the Fidelity Management Apprentice Program, a two-year leadership development track designed to develop high-potential talent. He now works as a director of risk management.

Abu Iyob, a Bucknell Posse alumnus who graduated in the spring, has recently been hired as an equity business associate. Three current Scholars served as Fidelity interns this past summer. One intern, Tanisha DeLeon, a senior at Centre College, had the opportunity to work in fiduciary oversight and board support.

“I was really excited to be working at Fidelity,” says Tanisha. “The internship program challenged me to learn in a space that fosters growth and mentorship. I worked on projects ranging from proxy voting to diversity and inclusion research.”

“As an organization that prizes excellence and diversity, Fidelity has a great partnership with Posse in place today in multiple areas,“ says Fidelity Strategic Advisers CIO and Posse Boston Advisory Board member Paul Quistberg. "These include career sponsorship, mentoring, supporting the organization, providing meeting space, and connecting Posse scholars via such initiatives as Boundless, Fidelity’s program for young women. We look forward to continuing to expand this positive and growing partnership in the coming years."
