Halliburton Charity Golf Tournament Raises $50,000 for Houston Scholars

Winter 2015 | Houston

The 21st annual Halliburton Charity Golf Tournament donated $50,000 to Posse Houston. The tournament, dedicated to giving back and supporting programs that enrich lives and make a real difference, is hosted annually by Halliburton, one of the largest providers of products and services to the energy industry.

“Giving back to the communities where we live and work is a commitment we take seriously,” said David Lesar, Halliburton chairman and CEO.

Posse Houston was chosen as one of 36 beneficiaries of the tournament, which in total raised a record of nearly $2.4 million. Participating in the popular two-day tournament were 500 golfers, about 200 sponsors and more than 100 Halliburton volunteers.

“We are excited to have been selected by the Halliburton Charity Golf Tournament,” says Posse Houston Advisory Board Chair Dan Pickering, the co-president of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. “Our partnership with them helps to support our Scholars in being successful. We look forward to expanding this partnership with them over the years.”
