Law Rocks Fundraiser Supports Posse LA for Second Consecutive Year

Summer 2024 | Los Angeles

For the second year in a row, Posse Los Angeles was chosen as a benefitting charity for the 13th Annual Law Rocks concert fundraiser. The annual event, which “raises funds for local nonprofit organizations by combining the power of music and the generosity of the global legal community,” took place on March 22nd at the landmark music venue Whiskey A Go Go. With bands playing late into the night, the high-energy concert brought in more than $415,000.

The music-filled evening featured performances by local bands The Grind, The Doughboys, Ocean Park Sound System, The Meltones, Down by Law, the Gee Gees and Side Hustle.

Dan Schecter, the bass guitar player for Side Hustle and husband of Posse Advisory Board member Jill Schecter, was among those who voted to select Posse for the highly coveted honor.

"When it came time to select a charity to support at Law Rocks, it was an easy decision to select Posse LA. Posse’s mission and its impact on the next generation of leaders is a perfect fit for the event," Dan says.

"We welcome any opportunity to educate the community about Posse,” says Jill. “Law Rocks is a fun event made even better when it supports a serious and essential cause like Posse.”

The Posse Foundation thanks Side Hustle and all of the participating bands at Law Rocks who have made invaluable contributions to Posse and the many other deserving programs in Los Angeles.
