Lloyd G. Balfour Foundation Awards Multi-Year Grant to Posse Boston

In October 2013, the Lloyd G. Balfour Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, announced a $300,000 three-year award to Posse Boston—the third such grant Posse has earned from the foundation since 2007. With the fulfillment of this pledge, the Balfour Foundation will have provided Posse Boston with $900,000 in critical funding over nine years.

Established in 1973, the Balfour Foundation supports education organizations that serve New England, educational scholarships for Balfour Company employees and their children, and organizations that provide educational, human services and health care programming to the Attleboro, Massachusetts, community.

“Posse Boston is incredibly grateful for the Balfour Foundation’s continued support and deep investment in our program and the talented young leaders we serve,” says Posse Boston Director Lamont Gordon. “The Balfour Foundation has been critical to Posse Boston’s growth, and this grant will help us move forward in our efforts to provide Boston area students with access to top colleges and leadership opportunities.”
