Mesirow Chief Economist Joins Advisory Board
Diane Swonk, a senior managing director and chief economist for Mesirow Financial, is the newest member of the Posse Chicago Advisory Board.
Introduced to Posse by Virginia “Ginny” Clarke, a partner at international executive search and consulting firm Amrop Knightsbridge, Diane was inspired by Posse’s successful program model and the accomplishments of its Scholars.
“Posse is a game changer, plain and simple,” says Diane. “Meeting the Posse alumni and seeing exactly how the Posse model works moved me. The graduation and employment rates of these inspired kids speak for themselves.”
Diane advises the Federal Reserve Board, regional Reserve Banks, the Congressional Budget Office, and the Council of Economic Advisers for the White House. In addition, she chairs the Economic Survey for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
“We are very excited to have Diane on the Posse Chicago Advisory Board,” says Asaf Bar-Tura, the director of Posse Chicago. “She not only brings her executive experience and wisdom to Posse, but also a true passion for diversity, education and the empowerment of young people.”
