Mount Holyoke Scholar Elected Student Government President
Mount Holyoke College Scholar Courtney Brunson is preparing for a career in the public sector with leadership roles on and off campus. She is president of the student government and of the debate society.
“My ability to get involved with student government developed because Posse gave me the confidence to recognize what I had to bring to the table,” Courtney says.
A senior, Courtney is majoring in international relations and minoring in law, public policy & human rights/philosphy. She is also a part of the Leadership and Public Service Fellowship program in the Weissman Center for Leadership. Last spring she traveled to Washington, D.C. to represent Florida at the Edward Kennedy Institute Ceremony, amongst senators, President Obama and Vice President Biden.
In addition, Courtney has interned for both Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz in Washington, D.C. and for Senator Elizabeth Warren’s district office in Springfield, Massachusetts.
