NOLA Power of 10 Raises Over $100K
On October 15, Posse New Orleans held its annual Power of 10 fundraiser, raising nearly $120,000. Posse New Orleans supporters, including corporate and foundation partners, community leaders, and Posse alumni, came together to celebrate 35 years of impact and to recognize a milestone achievement—reaching $100 million in scholarships for nearly 500 Scholars since the program’s inception in 2011.
This year’s event honored Katie Crosby, Chairman of the Board of Fidelity Bank, and the first female director in Fidelity Bank’s history. Beyond Fidelity, her leadership extends across numerous organizations, including LCMC Health System, Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, and the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Katie’s commitment to service is reflected in her work with Habitat for Humanity, WYES-TV, and so many other important institutions.
The honor was awarded in recognition of Katie’s impact on Posse and its Scholars, including her efforts to support Posse Scholars in securing internships with Fidelity Bank during its inaugural summer internship program. She is also a vocal advocate for Posse Scholars with other businesses in her orbit.
If you want to change the world, you must invest in the future. That’s what Posse does.
Corban Rogers, Villanova Posse Alum
"I always say to folks: If any of you offer internships for college students, I strongly encourage you to reach out to Posse. You’ll be inspired by these young men and women.”
The fundraising event also featured remarks from two Posse alumni, Colton Schnabel and Corban Rogers, both members of Villanova University’s first Posse and graduates of the class of 2024. Colton currently works as a Substation Design Engineer for Entergy Corporation, a Posse Career Partner, and Corban serves as Business Manager at Alice Harte Charter School.
“Posse is important because it gives students in New Orleans the chance to experience life beyond the city, something many can’t afford,” Colton said during his remarks. “Posse finds these students—those with the potential and drive to succeed but not always the means. It gives them the opportunity to thrive and offers a lifelong community of support. That community can make all the difference.”
In his closing remarks, Corban said “If there’s one thing, I want you to remember, it’s this: Many people want to change the world. But too many want to see it happen right away. Change, real change, requires a combination of diligence and patience. If you want to change the world, you must invest in the future. That’s what Posse does.”
