Posse Bay Area Power of 10 Event Raises $151K

Fall 2024 | Bay Area

This past October, Posse Bay Area held its annual Power of 10 fundraiser at the scenic Marina at Fort Mason. Joined by the dedicated Posse Bay Area staff, Posse’s community of supporters came together to celebrate the program’s impact across the region. The event raised $151,660 in support of the next generation of diverse leaders from the Bay area.

Anthony Sokenu, Posse Bay Area’s new director, emceed the evening, which included remarks from Posse Bay Area Advisory Board Chair David Korol, the head of sales at Canary Data; Dickinson College Posse alum Anthony Bush, the winner of this year’s Ainslie Achievement Award; and Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial.

“I am deeply honored to join such an impactful organization as Posse,” Anthony said. “Posse’s efforts in building a new leadership network of diverse, talented individuals align closely with the work I have been passionate about for the past two decades. I am energized and inspired by the incredible work the Posse Bay Area team has done so far, and I am excited to contribute to expanding our reach.”

First-time attendees included Capital Group Equity Investment Analyst Kelechi Chikere, a new member of the Bay Area Advisory Board who brings extensive career experience and invaluable insights to the role.

“Attending the Posse Foundation’s Power of 10 event was a truly inspiring experience. The evening was filled with an undeniable energy of hope and purpose,” says Kelechi. “It was a privilege to celebrate and support such impactful work.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable evening. We look forward to another successful year recruiting and training the next generation of leaders.
