Posse Bay Area Welcomes Newest Scholars

This past January, Posse Bay Area celebrated the newest class of Scholars at its 9th Annual Award Ceremony.

The Ceremony welcomed 40 exceptional students into the Posse Scholar community. Recipients of full-tuition scholarships totaling nearly $10 million, the class of 2028 will matriculate this fall at Posse Bay Area’s four partner colleges and universities: Boston University, Lehigh University, St. Olaf College and the University of Puget Sound.

Parents, families, friends, donors, university staff, and Posse alumni all gathered at the Strand Theater in San Francisco to recognize the new Scholars.

“The award ceremony felt like a relief; it felt like I finally made it,” says new St. Olaf Scholar Mia Santiago. “To get confirmation that I won this hard-earned scholarship in front of my family and friends was so gratifying.”

The new Posses will join Scholars on campus after eight months of Pre-Collegiate Training with the Bay Area team.
