Posse Boston Power of 10 Event Raises $380K
Last October, Posse Boston held its 10th annual Power of 10 celebration, raising over $380,000 and convening nearly 400 Posse friends and alumni.
Posse Boston honored Bain Capital Double Impact with the 2018 Power of 10 Award for their ongoing support. Over the past nine years, Bain Capital has hosted events and meetings, provided volunteers and career coaches, and funded Posse with generous grants. Bain Capital Managing Directors Todd Cook, Governor Deval Patrick and Warren Valdmanis, who also serves on the Posse Boston Advisory Board, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The event also highlighted two exceptional alumni, Bucknell University graduates Abu Iyob and Danielle Taylor. Both are now employees at Fidelity—Abu in the Asset Management Rotational Program and Danielle having recently completed the company’s Emerging Leaders Program.
“The Posse Network was my way in the door.”
“I am grateful that the Posse network has remained with me,” Abu said when he spoke. “I always knew that I was capable of working in finance, but it’s no surprise that in such a competitive industry knowing the right people can go a long way. The Posse Network was my way in the door.”
Danielle, remarked on how the Posse community has been a strong support system, giving her the confidence to be a leader during and after college.
“Each of the one hundred alumni in the room and the thousands around the country are proving their leadership,” she said. “We’re helping companies make better decisions and improving communities, all with the faithful support of Posse behind us.”
Posse Boston gives special thanks to this year’s event leaders, Bain Capital Double Impact and BrightSphere Investment Group and thanks all the other sponsors and partners who made this year’s Power of 10 a success.
