Posse D.C. Power of 10 Raises $100K
This past October, Posse D.C. hosted its annual Power of 10 fundraiser in Washington, D.C.
Eun Yang, a news anchor at NBC4 Washington and a member of the Posse D.C. Advisory Board, returned as the emcee of the event.
The Power of 10 raised more than $100,000. The night also honored alumni speaker Tae Youn Kim, a Brandeis University Posse graduate, for his commitment to Posse’s mission of building a diverse and inclusive workforce. Now a managing director at Iron Point Partners, Tae is a longstanding supporter of Posse D.C., serving on the Leadership Council and as a volunteer for the Dynamic Assessment Process, Posse’s unique selection method.
In his speech, Tae referenced a question his wife, Samantha, posed to him—What if Posse didn’t exist? How might Tae’s experience at Brandeis University and professional career have turned out?
“I know I would have worked very hard and done the best I could—but life without Posse? Let’s just say that I’m glad to be living in the present,” Tae said in his remarks.
“I’m a firm believer in the mission of this wonderful organization, and I’m a tiny hint of evidence that Posse truly changes lives for the best.”
Tae credited the Posse Career Program as a key resource, recalling that it connected him to a summer internship at Goldman Sachs that later led to a full-time job offer from the firm. It was a colleague at Goldman who then introduced Tae to his current employer, Iron Point Partners.
Posse D.C. is grateful to the generous donors and supporters who invest in our Scholars and alumni.
