Posse Los Angeles Partners with ECMC Foundation
Posse Los Angeles is pleased to announce its newest partnership with the ECMC Foundation, proudly accepting a $50,000 grant to support 2018-2019 programming and deepen the foundation’s engagement with Posse’s mission and Scholars.
ECMC Foundation exists to inspire and facilitate improvements that affect educational outcomes through evidence-based innovation. To accomplish this, ECMC Foundation makes investments in postsecondary programs and initiatives across the nation. The Foundation makes strategic grantmaking decisions and program-related investments to support both nonprofit and for-profit ventures specifically in two focus areas: college success and career readiness.
ECMC Foundation has built its relationship with Posse over the years, with many of the foundation’s staff members serving as volunteers for the Dynamic Assessment Process and writing sessions, and as resume and career coaches.
“Our growing relationship with ECMC Foundation is a beautiful example of the impact Posse Los Angeles has on both LAUSD high school seniors and our surrounding community,” says Posse Los Angeles Director Tamara Y. Craver. “Their commitment to Posse’s mission and our Scholars has grown from volunteering at the Dynamic Assessment Process, as writing, resume and career coaches to making financial investments in our programming. We are very grateful for ECMC staff members like Patrick Bourke, also an Oberlin Posse alumnus, who are dedicated volunteers and mentors to our Scholars.”
