Posse Miami Glitter Soirée Raises $256K

This fall, Posse Miami celebrated its 15th anniversary with an upgraded annual fundraising event, the Glitter Soirée. Formerly Power of 10, the Glitter Soirée was held at Key Biscayne Yacht Club. With premier sponsors such as Deloitte, Starwood Capital, and EY, the glamorous event raised more than $256,000 and showcased Posse’s direct impact on South Florida’s Magic City.

Since 2009, Posse Miami has sent 790 South Florida Scholars to colleges out of state, amounting to $156 million in scholarships.

Roland is a two-time Posse Scholar working in investment management at Polen Capital with a passion for giving back to his community. As a Miami representative on the Posse National Alumni Advisory Board (PNAAC), Roland serves as a Posse Career Program coach and has created a rotational externship exclusively for Posse Scholars at Polen Capital, providing them a unique opportunity to explore the world of business management.

“Without Posse, I doubt I would have had exposure and access to the world of finance. And that is ultimately one of the many beautiful things about Posse: it creates exposure to roads that you didn’t even know existed,” said Roland in his remarks. “I am most grateful to Posse for inspiring me to see the leader I didn’t even see in myself.”
