Posse New Orleans Power of 10 Event Raises $100K
Posse New Orleans raised over $100,000 as guests honored the next generation of leaders at the annual Power of 10 fundraiser this past October. The event was supported by lead sponsors Deloitte, Entergy and Sazerac House.
The evening honored Deanna Rodriguez, the President and CEO of Entergy New Orleans, a Posse Career Program partner.
“This partnership with Posse New Orleans is a true example of how we must lay the foundation today to support programs that are developing tomorrow’s future leaders of our industry,” Deanna said in her remarks at the event.
“We are thrilled to have exceeded our revenue goal for the event by raising over $100,000,” says Posse New Orleans Director Sherdren Burnside. “The Power of 10 was a success. We had a great time, and it was so special to hear from our inspiring Posse alumni—gathering to show their appreciation for Posse New Orleans and Posse Scholars.”
The Power of 10 celebration included a cocktail reception at The Sazerac House. The evening ended with a live music performance from local legend Kermit Ruffins and his band, The Barbeque Swingers.
