Posse New York Welcomes Barclays Executive to Advisory Board

Fall 2021 | New York

Brandeis University Posse alumnus Carlos Salcedo, now a managing director in global equities synthetic sales at Barclays Investment Bank, is the newest member of the Posse New York Advisory Board.

Based in New York, Carlos’s team at Barclays provides financial services for hedge funds, asset managers, endowments and other institutional clients.

“I wanted an opportunity to play a more active and meaningful role in the growth of Posse New York.”

As an alumnus, Carlos says he is excited to reconnect with Posse from a new perspective on the advisory board.

“I wanted an opportunity to play a more active and meaningful role in the growth of Posse New York,” he says. “I am at the point in my life where it made sense to give back in a more meaningful way.”

Prior to joining Barclays in 2009, Carlos worked at Lehman Brothers as an analyst responsible for sourcing asset management opportunities from the firm’s corporate clients. He received a bachelor’s degree in politics and economics from Brandeis in 2005, and later served two terms as a Posse National Alumni Advisory Council representative.

“Posse has had tremendous impact in my life and I have always wanted to pay it forward,” Carlos says.
