Scholars, Alumni Gain Political Experience with Sen. Warren
Three Scholars interned this summer in the office of United States Senator Elizabeth Warren, joining two Posse alumni who were hired for full-time positions with the Senator. The Senator’s office has been a Posse Career Program partner since 2013.
“Working with Posse Scholars adds an entirely different dynamic to an office,” says Ariel Vega, the regional director of Senator Warren’s Boston office. “They have something different to offer and they can learn a lot from each other.”
Posse alumna Ana Morales has been a press assistant for the Senator since graduating in 2014 from Denison University. Ana previously interned for former Senator John Kerry and Senator Ed Markey. Posse alumnus Kidus Moges, a 2015 graduate of Bucknell University, joined the office as a full-time staff assistant this summer.
“It’s a really cool experience to have a Posse Scholar working with you,” says Ana. “Connecting with them here brings everything full circle.”
