Scholars, Alums Receive Application Support from Grad School + Fellowships Program
The Posse Foundation's Graduate School + Fellowships Program supports Scholars and alumni who are interested in pursuing advanced degrees (M.A., M.B.A., J.D., Ph.D.) or competitive fellowship opportunities. Ten prestigious graduate school programs partner with Posse to offer scholarships reserved for Posse alumni—many of them cover full tuition.
All Scholars and alumni interested in being considered for these opportunities must register their interest with Derron Wallace, the director of graduate school and fellowships, in advance of applying. This program offers guidance, coaching and advocacy to Scholars and alumni throughout the graduate school application process.
Alumni who apply to graduate programs may expect the following from Posse:
- Intensive, one-on-one personal coaching to Scholars and alumni through the graduate school application process.
- A series of advising sessions for all applicants through phone consultations, one-on-one meetings, group discussions, webinars, campus visits, etc.
- Draft review of application materials (statements of purpose/personal statements, résumés, writing samples, etc.).
- Advocacy for each candidate with admission directors.
- Letters of recommendation for candidates.
Posse is very excited about this initiative and eager to help alumni utilize this resource. To learn more about the graduate school partnerships, application timeline and other information, click here.
