University of Pittsburgh Signs On
Late last year, Posse welcomed the University of Pittsburgh to its roster of top-tier partner institutions. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the highly ranked public research institution joins eight other colleges and universities that adopted or expanded the program in 2023.
As part of the partnership, Pitt and Posse will recruit dynamic students in the Philadelphia metro area through Posse’s Virtual Program, an innovative model that employs online platforms to evaluate and prepare Scholars. Those selected for the Posse Scholarship receive four-year full-tuition funding and mentoring from the University as well as extensive support from the Foundation.
Pitt will select its inaugural Posse cohort this December using Posse’s unique evaluation method, the Dynamic Assessment Process, and will welcome the new admits to campus in fall 2025.
The addition of Pitt brings Posse’s total partnerships to 92. Other additions in 2023 include new partners Whitman College, Santa Clara College and Providence College and expanded programs with existing partners Oberlin College, the College of William & Mary and Vanderbilt University.
The new partnership with Pitt also brings the organization one step closer to its goal of recruiting 100 Posses annually, supplying 1000 new leaders to the workforce each year and transforming the face of leadership over the next century.
